We have just received word from Dr. Chris at Faith Alive Hospital in Jos about a childbirth in the hospital just after the start of the New Year.
First, some background: On the 6th of November 2008,the Labor Room / Delivery Suite of Faith Alive was dedicated by staff and friends of Faith Alive Foundation. Similarly on the 8th of January 2009,the Chest Clinic (Out Patient, Consultation & Adherence Room, & Pharmacy) was also dedicated.
The great news: On January 9th, at about 8:15am, 18year old Veronica Ezekiel, an unbooked pre-natal case (could not afford this anywhere) came into Faith Alive in labor of her first pregnancy. At 2:05pm, she delivered a baby boy with the following details:
Weight: 3.1kg
Length: 45cm
Head Circumference: 53cm
APGAR Score: 9
This was the first delivery in one of the best delivery suites in the Plateau State and mother and child are doing great. This is the first childbirth in the last two years at Faith Alive Hospital and Dr. Chris would like to "thank you all for your prayers and support."
